About
We all get frustrated with our favorite teams from time to time, but enough is enough. I am sick and tired of my teams underachieving, whether it is because of their useless front offices or some of the pathetic players they are paying. Do not get me wrong, I am a very loyal fan to all of the teams I am covering, but something needs to be done, and their mistakes must be pointed out. I do not believe in standing by and watching my teams fail without saying anything about it, so this site is for the L.A. fan, or Dallas Cowboys fan, who feels that his/her team can do better.
To clear up any confusion, I cover the Dallas Cowboys because L.A. as a city does not have a football team. I was never a fan of the Rams or Raiders. The Cowboys have always been the team I have cheered for since the days of Troy Aikman, fellow UCLA Bruin. I graduated from UCLA in the class of '07 with a degree in Political Science, and am a 3rd generation Bruin. The Cowboys are my team, and even though their last meaningful playoff victory in Superbowl XXX came when I was 10 years old, they still are through thick and thin.
Why put in all the time and effort needed to run a site like this? Because Dodger Dogs used to be $3.00 (still ridiculous) and the Dodgers used to be a good team to watch. Because Kobe and the Lakers have now lost their last two attempts at bringing a title home to LA. The Dallas Cowboys playoff struggles are also mind-boggling (0 for their last 6), and if they go 0-7 that will be an NFL record for the longest streak without a playoff win, which is not something I would like to see.
You are probably not going to like some of the things I have to say about the teams I'm covering because you feel that real fans never bash their teams. Wrong. Real fans stand up for what they believe in, and real fans force change. I do not want to see Ned Colletti put another Dodger in uniform, and although Bill Parcells did a wonderful job in making the Cowboys the team they are today, I want to see a Cowboys coach take this team to a playoff victory and beyond. It would also be nice for the talented Lakers to put it all together and win another title.
Someday I know one of my teams will win a championship, but who knows when that will happen. Most of all I just want to see my teams succeed, so until they do I will bash them mercilessly with a hint of slight optimism.
